MartaVAR / CITY was born from the creative desire of Marta Bonometti, who establishes and manages her own brand from November 2012.
​Born and raised in Brescia, she has an economic education with a degree at the Bocconi University in Milan, where she now lives. 
​In 2008 she started working in the fashion industry, and after three years in the commercial area of a multi-brand showroom in Milan she enters Giorgio Armani taking care of the travel retail channel for almost four years as Key Account Manager.
Thanks to these experiences, Marta assimilates a lot of information about the market of fashion and at the same time about the product, which converge in her personal project. In line with the growth of the last few seasons, she controls brilliantly what she likes to call "her creative laboratory", in which the entrepreneur strengthens a close cooperation with professionals of the industry such as designers, graphic designers, stylist and product developers active as freelancer in well-known fashion companies such as DSquared2, Givenchy to name a few.
Thanks to this valuable collaborations, VAR/CITY invests itself entirely in the development of a high quality and made in Italy product, in the heart of excellent industrial companies to preserve the added value that only the most experienced Italian artisans are able to transfer to the finished product.
Recently some VAR/CITY items have been seen worn by singers (like Kid Ink and Lorenzo Jovanotti), actors and international bloggers, and are distributed in boutiques all over the world including Canada, United States, Korea, Japan, China and of course Italy. Among the main aims of Marta Bonometti there are: the increase of the collection’s offer, the development of the customer base and the preparation of a Retail Concept for a future expansion into other markets by identifying local partners, specialized in the management of luxury brands.
